Another one bites the dust...Orlando has a baby

Miranda Kerr: I Had a Baby Boy with Orlando Bloom!

It is indeed a son for Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom.

Baby Flynn arrived on Jan. 6, weighing 9 lbs., 12 oz., says the model on her Kora Organics Web site on Tuesday, confirming widespread speculation. She also posts a photo of herself nursing "our beautiful little son."

"I gave birth to him naturally; without any pain medication and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it. I could not have done it without him," she adds.

"We are so happy and are enjoying our time together as a family. He is our little ray of sunshine. Thank you everyone for your beautiful well wishes and your lovely thoughts."

Blair Waldorf's An Impulsive Shopper Because Of Her Last Name

Say what!?
Researchers want us to believe people with last names near the end of the alphabet are more likely to make impulse purchases than those at the beginning of the alphabet.
Here's their crazy explanation:
"The idea holds that children develop time-dependent responses based on the treatment they receive. In an effort to account for these inequities, children late in the alphabet will move quickly when last name isn't a factor; they will 'buy early.' Likewise, those with last names early in the alphabet will be so accustomed to being first that that individual opportunities to make a purchase won't matter very much; they will 'buy late.'"
The findings are inneresting, but couldn't these researchers do something more productive with their time? Like figuring out how to cure diseases???
Just sayin'.

Hits and misses at the Golden Globe awards

The goddesses in green reigned supreme at the Golden Globes.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina Jolie and Elisabeth Moss all looked real gems in their emerald gowns as they walked down the red carpet at the awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

But other stars turned heads for all the wrong reasons. What were J-Lo and Halle Berry thinking? And those mis-matched shoes weren’t the only odd thing about Helena Bonham Carter’s outfit. Here we rate the night’s best – and worst – dressed leading ladies...

Considered as one of the best dressed actresses, she sported a sea green gown designed by Atelier Versace. It was full sleeves, with deep back, and was tight around the waist. The glittery dress complemented the envious body of the superstar, and one must agree, that the dress and the star, both of them complemented each other. The other Hollywood hottie, who preferred to go green was Catherine Zeta Jones. Where Angelina Jolie’s dress was slim fitted, the “Mask Of Zorro” star donned a bell shaped, shoulder-less gown from the Monique Lhuiller Pre-Fall 2011 collection. The envious gold detailed gown worn by Olivia Wilde, was one of a kind. However, this shoulder-less and bell shaped gown was not what stole the attention. It was her golden high heeled stilettos, that added a dash of spark to her look.
